"Break-in Schedule"

Your NmG will not have a 20 to 40-mile (30.2 to 60.4-kilometer) range in the beginning. The battery pack on your new NmG needs to be broken in. The battery pack is broken in during the first 50 cycles. (A cycle is the complete battery discharge and subsequent charge to full capacity.) The battery pack increases its performance up to the 50th cycle. It reaches its maximum performance at that point, then begins to slowly deteriorate. The typical cycle life of a battery pack that is discharged below 30 percent is approximately 300 cycles. When batteries are not discharged below 50 percent, battery life can reach up to 500 cycles.
NOTE:Batteries should not be discharged below 110 volts under load (when you are accelerating). The battery pack should not be discharged below 135 volts after driving, and then resting for 2 minutes.
NOTE:Do not drive demanding trips in your new NmG until after 30 cycles. For example, do not coNmGute more than 20 miles (32.2 kilometers) one way to work, or drive up long or steep hills. Be sure to recharge your battery pack before driving home.
