Before operating your
NmG, read and understand all the safety messages, rules and information presented here and in other sections of the SMARTManual. Always use coNmGon sense and practice safe procedures.
Messages of special significance are marked, in increasing order of
severity, NOTE, IMPORTANT, CAUTION, WARNING, and DANGER as
follows:
NOTE:messages highlight or add to the information already stated in the regular text.
IMPORTANT: messages provide information that is important to be aware of to properly perform a procedure or use equipment.
CAUTION: messages alert the reader to situations that may cause damage to the vehicle or equipment.
WARNING: messages mean that damage to the vehicle or equipment will occur unless the stated situation is avoided or appropriate steps are taken.
DANGER: messages tell the reader that serious bodily injury to an individual and/or serious equipment damage will occur unless the situation is avoided or appropriate steps are taken.
The usual road safety conventions apply to driving your
NmG, just like an ordinary car. However, as an electric vehicle, powered by a 156-volt battery pack and recharging at a 110-volt or 220-volt electrical outlet, the
NmG has an increased potential of electrical hazard that can cause injury to you and seriously damage the vehicle.
